  • Thats What it feels Like

    it's like you are an egg,
    someone cracks you open and pours out ur insides on a hot pan,

    it's like being an ant,
    then a boot lands ontop of you, harder and harder till your midriff explodes,

    it's like being 2months old,
    your tummy hurts like hell and all you can do is cry and pray someone knows why you are,

    it feels like you are dying of thirst,
    you feel your body drying out like a sponge being wrung,

    it feels like you are Thika road,
    a dusty bumpy piece of road with only the promise of a better future,

    it feels like you just broke you to pieces,
    starting off a chain reaction where each piece breaks further an further till you are nothing but dust.

    dust that has no form,
    that has no choice but to blow with the wind,
    scattered to far hills.

    it feels like Phiona will kill me for writting this poem,
    and i can't wait to see her flog a dead horse.

    thats what a broken heart feels like.
