The Kenya We Want
Posted: May 18, 2009, 8:50 am by Straight Talk
I was asked over the weekend what constitutes 'The Kenya I Want', here is my thought;
1) Where the law is followed to the letter regardless of position in society.
2) Where every one gets a decent wage
3) Where politicians are paid like civil servants and have all their earnings taxed.
4) Where health, security and human rights are respected and enforced regardless of ones position in society.
5) Where Kenyans become honest with each other, religion and themselves. -
Today i choose to be happy

I have just realised that there are so many small blessings that we let go missing on opportunities of saying Thank you God.
Even though there is so much negative vibe going around us, we have something to eat, warm abodes to go to, friends to comfort us and some of us jobs even in the midst of so much joblessness. For that i say Thank you God. -
Kenyans and the Culture of Whining
Posted: March 11, 2009, 6:51 am by Straight Talk
Anthony J. D'Angelo once said, 'If you have time to whine and complain about something then you have time to do something about it'.
Listen to the politicians, the public, blogs, religious leaders, kenyans in the diaspora.. there is so much blaming games, rants, finger pointing, skewed political analysis e.t.c. covering acres of pages. Now imagine if instead we used that time, energy and wit to generate ideas to move Kenya forward!! We would be happier and nearer to achieving vision 2030.
As i launch this blog, i hope it will a serene hiding place for Kenyans who are determined to choose to be positive, who choose to take charge of their life with less bitterness.
God bless Kenya
