As a friend of mine said, it took 300 schools for the government to realise that there was something wrong with the students. Yes, I said there is something wrong with the students. And I dont think banning cell phones in schools is going to help much. Reinstating corporal punishment wont do it either. Drugs and Alcohol.....and seriously intense peer pressure.

These kids as far as I am concerned, lack a sense of responsibility. They lack common sense......

How do you think, burning your OWN STUFF, stuff that your folks have worked to get for you,..... What point does that make other than the fact that you are an idiot? Seriously?

And do you seriously think that having DVDs in your bus will help you remotely?
And saying that mocks are hard? Who didnt do mocks? Wait... Had you even done the mocks yet? Were you striking about the fear of mocks being hard? WHAT THE HELL??? Who didnt have to go back to school for holiday classes? WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?.......

Do these people realise that come November, they will still have to seat for the KCSE and that the result of this determines their tertiary education after?

Honestly, I have never seen such imbecilic behaviour!!!

Oh... and there was some guy who called into classic and said that its because kids are being brought up by single mothers...... That is the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard.... What about those kids who have an absentee fathers? Fathers who treat their homes are a bed and breakfast??

PS: That school where a teacher made 10 girls pregnant.... thats another story....

PPS: RIP Estelle Getty [Sophia in Golden Girls]

This Sato, I realised that I have fallen into the trap again. The trap where everyone you hang out with gives you the story of 'Remember this time when I was blazed" or "Man! I was so drunk that time" or the great debate about which beer is better.

    Surely, I need new friends!

In other news, this monologue in Austin Powers always CRACKS ME UP!
    Wah!
    Enjoy!
[The scene is when Dr. Evil and Scott have gone for therapy]

The details of my life are quite inconsequential… very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with a low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen-year-old French prostitute named Chloë with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds – pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Wilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking – I suggest you try it.

A couple of Saturdays back, I took a stroll in town and found my way to Jamia Mall. And isn’t that place just something else. I did not know it harbored so many shops. Suffice to say, I was kinda surprised. Pleasantly so, because the place offers a myriad of shops selling clothes, shoes, phones et al and at affordable prices [compared to malls such as westgate and sarit]. Speaking of sarit, I went to look for house slippers and did you know they go for Kshs 3,500 at Woolworths? I had a nice laugh and walked on along my merry way. Anyway, back to Jamia Mall, I was not so surprised that when I entered a shop where the attendant was Kenyan, we were not greeted, not welcomed… NOTHING. However, we entered some shops where the attendants were not Kenyan [Brazilian, Nigerian, Somali] and the service was impeccable. I REFUSE to shop in a store where I am not welcomed. And maybe I am being picky but a little courtesy never hurt anyone!!!!! Pull up your socks people!

So I had a craving for cantaloupes… or as they are called in Kenya – Sweet melons, so I went to the local green grocer[how old school is that?], and do you know how expensive that stuff is? I couldn’t believe it. I still bought it but I can say that it will not be happening often!
  • Impunity

I watched the KTN news on July 3rd and I saw people on the street protesting against the sale of Grand Regency. One was even holding a sign that said “We shall not support impunity”. What the? Dude probably doesn’t even know what it means. And I am not being mean………
Now, I am not supporting corruption or anything but are these people serious? How does Grand Regency help them add money into their pockets to feed their families? Where were they when the MPs said they would not support the taxes on their allowances? Where were they when the government refused to decrease taxes on fuel? Huh? Issues that actually would HELP individuals always pass them by. I think its just sad that Kenyan continue to agree to be used by politicians. Start thinking for yourselves Kenyans!!!!!!

No one is looking out for you, not your councilor, chief, MP, Prime Minister, VP or even President!!

Blah blah blah

Fish cakes

Alas a fish cake.

Yet more fish cakes

Guess what ... yeah ... fish cakes.

The end of the fish cakes
