Life and its General Nonsense

Working in a bookstore during my undergraduate years afforded me the luxury of reading a myriad of books. It was during this time that I came to know about Aaron McGruder and Boondocks. I was also introduced to George Carlin. His book "Napalm and Silly Putty" was hysterical and I made a point of checking him out on HBO stand up or comedy central.

For someone who was not willing to go the safe route, who spoke his mind, and made me laugh...... REST IN PEACE, George Carlin.

Contrary to popular belief, I did not watch the finale of Tusker Project Fame 2. I even had an offer to go watch it live. But I was not in the mood that culminated in a cold that made me feel like crap. So I was asleep.

Now that Esther has won. Congratulations. May you try and not drown in oblivion like the previous winner..........

PS: I hope we are all aware that this show is not about talent. Its about East African Breweries marketing themselves and their products to all three countries. [Hence why the Tzians were churcked and then returned and why probably a Kenyan could not win again].... Im not saying these people dont have talent, but lets just see what impact they will make in the industry......

Let's talk next year, yes? If Im still alive, Im pretty sure I will still be blogging.

PPS: My present disposition cant even allow me to blog about Rwanda.

    Fuel Prices

    Does this describe you?

You love to tailgate. You cant allow the car ahead of you to be more than 3 inches away from yours

You are a brake whore. You get leg aches daily because you position it one inch away from the brake. Or you drive a matatu or taxi.

You leave the car running for 30 minutes while in standstill traffic on uhuru highway.

At 6 am in the morning, you still find it necessary to overlap or overtake, although its obviously unnecessary.

If the above is you, please don’t question why you have a higher than average petrol expenditure.

    Radio

Did anyone else read pulse on Friday? They were talking about the whole radio partnership. They spoke about Chris and Allan, Nick and Marcus, etc etc… They also named some people from Homeboyz Radio but I wouldn’t know since I have not even programmed that station on my radio. Anyway, ofcourse I totally think [and I am sure many will agree] that there is no partnership like Maina and Mwalimu. I also think that Nick and Marcus are not too bad although I still get irked by Nick’s laugh. But that’s just me. If Kalekye and Shaffie would stop saying their names all the damn time, I could probably give them props but I cant get over them doing it….. Its too much….
Umm… who is the new dude with Carol in the morning?

  • Sorry guys..
