Life and its General Nonsense

Before I begin what I want to say, I would like to get this out of the way:

This may come as a surprise to frequent readers of this blog but I don’t believe in the invisible hand of fate. I don’t believe that “the one” [please note the quotes], will come and knock at your door and you will live happily ever after. I believe in people owning their destinies and following their personal legends as outlined in The Alchemist. I believe in the saying: I am the captain of my ship, the master of my destiny. I believe in people working, diligently, on themselves and on their lives to improve it [and themselves].I believe in being proactive.

That being said, if you have issues with how your life is, I believe that you have to own up to it, understand it and make the necessary changes, no matter the risk or work involved. That being said, if you do have issues with your life, and you decide, for reasons beyond my comprehension, to not do anything about it, please don’t waste my time with your whining.

    Thanks

Now, onto the post I was going to do today:

There are questions that I can’t help but answer. Questions that my other self asks:

How do you feel about Mwalimu King’ang’i leaving classic fm?

[Wipes away tears before replying], I am downright inconsolable. I can’t believe. Truth be told, that morning show was made by the two of them together, working as a team. Alone, I don’t think they can do as good a job as they did as a team. Then again, it’s just my opinion….. Sigh… Such is life though

What is your favorite Ne-Yo song?

Well, first off, I would like to give kudos to the brother coz he can WRITE. Too bad about his looks though. To answer your question, it’s a tie between ‘So Sick’ and ‘Go on Girl’

    Why Jon – B?

I wonder as well, but there is something about that man that gives me shivers, good shivers.

    Currently, what is mind-boggling you?

The thought that there are Kenyans out there who think that politicians are going to help them. They need to realize that we need to mobilize as Kenyans; we are the only ones who can help ourselves.

What are some of the things that irk you, even if it is a small irk?

PEOPLE WHO SPELL EVERYTHING IN CAPS
Txts tat r ovrly abbrvtd, it tks 2ice as lng to rd them
Emails that have no punctuations. Full stops, Question Marks, Paragraphs. I mean, come on!
People who shake your hand or hug you like they don’t want to.

Why do you sometimes tell people “I’m sorry” and sometimes “I apologize”?

Well, sometimes I don’t think I was wrong and therefore I don’t feel sorry for what I have said or done…. To these people for the sake of common courtesy, I say “I apologize for ABCD” but I don’t mean it. Just trying to break the ice and move on and whatnot.

Words I like but I can never include in conversations:

    - Juxtapose
    - Extrapolate
    - Superimpose
    - Succinct

Finally…. African Idol? Anybody? The dude with the blonde wig? Singing in Soprano? Hilarious stuff!!!!!

    Have an Uber Fab weekend!

Blah blah blah

Fish cakes

Alas a fish cake.

Yet more fish cakes

Guess what ... yeah ... fish cakes.

The end of the fish cakes
