Foreign Exchange - "Laughing at Your Plans"
Posted: August 31, 2011, 9:28 pm by KenyaChristian
The album Authenticity that this song is from has really really grown on me. If I get the time I'll review it (haven't done one of those in a while) If you're a lover of neo-soul or just generally good music, and youre not up on Foreign Exchange, I dunno man, you're missing some great stuff.

July is the single from Ngwatilo Mawiyoo's new album "Introducing Ngwatilo," released in July 2011 Check the lyrics below
July
We crave the sun this time of year
we dream of rays caressing the face
of sleeveless Joy playing kati at noon;
barefoot, bare kneed, carefree on grass.
We hear the radio speak of doom
of torrents of rain, of none at all. Still
we slumber on khangas and dream
of grass underneath, green and thick.
Nairobi's stream will be clean again
-- clean to drink, to watch and wade in --
and on its banks grass will grow,
or else even we shall cease and sleep. -
Video: Leo: The Movie (Trailer)

LEO is a charming and beguiling adult fairy-tale set in Nairobi, a Metropolitan City in Kenya that is a melting pot of East African culture, art, politics and commerce. It is a story about Maasai boy, raised in a low-income home, achieving his dream against all odds.
LEO film is a simple story that captures the essence of a child’s heart still open to all the posssibilities of achieving his dream in “Kenya” Africa. -

This might not interest everyone who visits this blog, but I find it interesting. I hope more and more of the covered up truth will come out. May justice be done on this terror that Britain unleashed on Kenyans.
Hugo K. Foster Associate Professor of African Studies, Caroline Elkins, discusses her first book, Imperial Reckoning: The Untold Story of Britain's Gulag in Kenya.

Fish cakes
Alas a fish cake.
Yet more fish cakes
Guess what ... yeah ... fish cakes.
