In response to the continued growth of the Kenyan Blogs’ Webring KenyaUnlimited set out to create an online meeting place for the diverse Kenyan visions, minds and voices that inhabit the Kenyan blogosphere.

As a community website the identity of KenyaUnlimited is rooted in the collective identity of all its members. For practical reasons an administration team maintain and update KenyaUnlimited on a voluntary basis. At present the team is made up of three members. Their blogs are

KenyaUnlimited is hosted and sponsored by the extraordinary Byte.nl. Byte.nl responded to our general plea for technical assistance when the KenyaUnlimited Aggregator grew too big for our servers and went even further by offering to host KenyaUnlimited on their servers. They are responsible for the smooth running of this website’s server which is a welcome relief from the years of living on the technical edge. Running out of Holland Byte.nl’s partnership with KenyaUnlimited is one of the best examples that we truly live in a global village.

Originally KenyaUnlimited was made up of a collective of blogs many of which have now been merged into one blog, this one. The blogs that have been merged are the:

• Open Blog - on which any member of KBW could post
• Voices Blog - on which guest authors were invited to post
• Admin Blog - which carried news and announcements from the admin group
• Kaybees 2006 – the official blog for the Kaybees – Kenyan Blog Awards – 2006 edition

All the posts from these four blogs have been imported into this blog and sit in the Legacy Posts category. For administration reasons all of the imported posts were assigned to KenyaUnlimited rather than the original authors.
