Black Weblog Awards: KenyaUnlimited Nominated

We have just learned that KenyaUnlimited has been nominated in the category of ”Best Community Blog” in The 2006 Black Weblog Awards and we are filled with honour and pride. KenyaUnlimited was created to build on the foundations established by the Kenyan blogosphere “to serve as a central meeting place, a forum for ideas and projects and to move beyond blogging and beyond the virtual world” KenyaUnlimited is also the virtual home of the Kenyan Blogs Webring (KBW) . We consider this nomination an acknowledgement of having accomplished our goals and recognition of all the bloggers who make up KBW.

We are a community of bloggers, who are bloggers individually but combined comprise a family, this gives a sense of belonging and unity. Whereby, ultimately we became KBWer’s first and bloggers last. We should be proud of such recognition. The nomination belongs to each and every member of KBW.

We also congratulate Black Looks – a KBW member who has been nominated for Best International Blog.

In that same spirit of camaraderie, we would urge fellow KBW members, and all our non-member friends to log on and vote for KenyaUnlimited. We are KenyaUnlimited and we deserve that award. Of course nomination is a reward in itself but why stop there…our potential is UNLIMITED!

well done all of us (of course I bask in the glory) and I have already ping the button to vote for both KBW and Black Looks.

Even if we do not win, the fact that our name has gone even further is wonderful.

I hope every member of KBW will vote

Again, congratualtions to the Admin team for all your hard work

    KBW Rules!

  3. Really great. Proud to be Kenyan always! I thank God for this gift. We create the ripples and all the world awards will eventually be ours. I believe too in the long run we shall catch up development wise with the rest of the world. Mungu anatembea na sisi. See for example Wangari Maathai, Barrack Obama, our athletes and the writers in this blog and many many mamambogas, hawkers, juakalis etc.
