Two Fingers! & Politics

Well, my deepest sympathies to all that were affected by the tragedy of the collapsed building. It is high time Kenyans grew up and learnt from the mistakes we keep making. It is long over due! Corruption is a social ill that is affecting us terribly. Question is, will we ever get cured or is it like a cold that it will always be there?

I was checking out misterseed.com and there was a mention of pick pockets in the area who were very busy ‘working’! Why ain’t I surprised? Some were arrested while others were mobbed by the public. Do such individuals have a conscience? How do they go to sleep at night? Do they have briefing sessions before they hit the streets on pick pocketing even when there is a tragedy?

Which brings me to this………who is letting who down? Who is to blame? I do not condone what they do, but ‘someone’ has to eat.

And you wonder why a person like George Galloway went into the CBB (Celebrity Big Brother – UK) to reach the 18 – 24 year olds who are not interested in politics and get them interested. But, if the same politics / politicians esp. in Kenya are letting the people down, who do we turn to?

I don’t like talking politics, as it has never appealled to me. Kenya politics is a chaotic jungle that I haven’t go the guts to venture into. I will leave it to bloggers like Kenyan Pundit and M, but as a Kenyan, I have to say something……I want to be HEARD.

I know I have started with one thing and got into another, but I hope you all understand what I am trying to say.

Are our voices enough to make a change?

  1. Thanks for your post.

One voice will be joined by another and another and eventually we will have a symphony of voices. Play your part, raise your voice, and you?ll be surprised how many follow. KenyaUnlimited and KBW are all about getting heard, making people take notice of our voices. Share your ideas with us and we?ll share ours with you!

its bothes me so much, im sick and fucking tired of kenyan politics but one thing at a time, we put them there and we gonna put them back there come 2007. they will move, form, break, merge parties in the name of redemption, fly to mombasa, garissa, kisumu, taita, nandi, kiambu, nyeri and the fuckingly convince you for your voter. money or the vote??

  3. That is my worry too, will we ever have a loud voice to be heard. This is time for radicalism i swear, somebody gotta do something and NOW.

Kenyans are sick and tired of our so called politicians. Election time you see them all over pleading for votes. Once elected they forget the electorate and embark on enriching themselves. Its high time we separate the fox from the sheep in the next general eletion. Long live Kenya our beloved country.

I totally feel toni on kenyan politics. It S. U.C.K.S. So it leaves me thinking why we put them back there to begin with. Probably coz there aren’t any options on the running candidates, same old faces from the same old parties. No wonder the rate of development is consistently slow or never! Everyone wants a piece of the pie so priorities are misplaced or discarded altogether. To think we ought to go majimbo (a system of federal governance, in a nutshell) frightens alot of guys. But i think it would be the way to go to finally cure the Power Hungry Viruse (PHV) that we are witnessing…. let the Jaluos, kikuyus and all the other 43 tribes in kenya lead themselves!! What good can come out of tribal division? I believe tribal politics is what is wrong with Kenya today.
